The participants took up the role as an ambassador of a country which was different from their own. For instance a participant from Afghanistan had to represent Pakistan where he had to speak against Eradication of Opium production from Afghanistan in front of the Peace Building Commission.
Chirag Bhatia was one of the 10 scholars who were granted full scholarship. He represented USA in the World Trade Organization committee of United Nations to discuss on the following two topics:
1. Subsidies on Fisheries
2. Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), related to Pharmaceutical Patents.
He was awarded for proposing the best solution in the WTO Committee.
He was also covered by German newspapers in recognition to his contribution in the conference.
