Hello guys! A big hi from the 4 of us here in XIMB campus, Bhubaneswar. 20 shortlisted teams (likes of IIM ABCK, XLRI, XIMB, MDI, TAPMI) were on campus for the presentation round of Gurukul. 16 teams were going to make it to Chakravyuha. We gave pretty decent presentations. Sukanya and Amit topped Gurukul in Ops. 2 out of 4 teams in Ops did not make it to next round. A fierce competition in Marketing arena meant all the 4 teams progressed to the next round.Chakravyuh consisted of 6 games that tested us in areas like entrepren
eurship, inventory planning, sales & marketing. We had to go to the real market without our wallets and mobiles. We sold real products and service packages at a markup. We created games on the fly…made people play them in market area. We did infrastructure planning for a business. The feeling that we got when we earned every
rupee of profit was unparalleled. 5 teams from IIMs, 5 from XLRI, 4 from XIMB and 2 from SPJIMR were present in this
round. SPJIMR garnered first and second places. Vishal and yours truly stood first while Amit and Sukanya came a close second out of 10 teams that progressed to Kurukshetra. 6 teams were knocked out.10 teams are getting into Kurukshetra battle tomorrow. It is a cross functional business simulation game. We need to set up and run a business for 6 financial years. More on this tomorrow.
Missing you all.. 'Band of Boys' were here this evening. We danced with two of them. There is a JLT party going on right now here...@ 1.30 am! Spirits are high! Hic hic hurray…
